Hibiscus Retirement Villages was established in 1962 in the beautiful coastal town of Margate.

A registered non-profit organisation, Hibiscus Retirement Villages became the first retirement society in the country to use the “Life Rights” basis. With a proven track record of over 50 years in the Retirement Village industry, you can rest assured that you are partnering with a company that cares and who will be with you for the long term.

All homes are sold on a life-right basis, and the Society continues to own them at all times. This means that there are no commissions, legal fees or transfer fees payable and residents are assured their home for as long as they need it. It also means that the Society is responsible for both the interior and exterior maintenance of each home and all communal facilities and grounds. This is the perfect lock-up-and-go lifestyle and ensures that no resident has to deal with pesky repairs when they become necessary.

Frail Care is a cornerstone of the Hibiscus Retirement Village ethos and comprehensive facilities are available to all residents.

Each village is home to a variety of indoor and outdoor clubs and activities, you choose how active you wish to be.
