Much of this transformation is the result of the long-standing work of McWade’s Landscapes and their on-site team, who have cared for the Estate’s natural environment for more than a decade. What was once an unmanaged, tangled expanse of dense bush, overrun with invasive and non-indigenous vegetation, has been diligently cleared, rehabilitated and carefully managed. Through the ongoing removal and monitoring of alien species, the indigenous landscape has been allowed to regenerate and flourish, creating what is now one of the area’s most carefully maintained indigenous conservancies; a space that closely reflects the natural coastal habitat that would have existed here before urban development.

That commitment to environmental stewardship has earned recognition from the South African Landscapers Institute (SALI), with the conservancy receiving multiple Awards of Excellence for its water-wise approach and environmental landscape work.

The Estate continues to evolve as we work tirelessly to enhance both the conservancy and the indigenous gardens throughout the residential areas. The meticulous care and ongoing commitment to the conservancy set The Executive apart, creating a natural environment unlike anything else in the area in its level of preservation, maintenance and dedication to indigenous habitat.
